Itinerary
- The tour begins at 9:00 AM during winter and at 10:00 AM during summer. You also have the option to arrive in the evening and start the tour the following morning after breakfast.
- Your adventure begins in Wadi Rum Village, where you'll meet your Bedouin guide and set off by 4x4 vehicle into the heart of the desert, heading towards Burdah Rock Bridge, one of the highest natural rock bridges in the world. This stunning natural arch is the largest and most impressive rock formation within the Protected Area.
- Then the hiking and scrambling begins! The ascent to Burdah Rock Arch involves some light scrambling, where you'll need to use your hands to reach the top. For added safety, your guide will secure you with a rope during certain sections. The round trip to the summit and back takes approximately three hours, depending on your pace. Once at the top, you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Wadi Rum’s striking landscape and its towering mountains. The descent offers a different perspective, revealing even more of the vast and dramatic terrain.
- After the hike, your guide will take you to a peaceful spot in the desert to relax and recharge. There, he’ll prepare a freshly cooked meal over an open fire, accompanied by traditional Bedouin tea. Surrounded by the silence and raw beauty of the desert, this is the perfect time to unwind or take a short stroll to explore your surroundings.
- In the afternoon, the jeep tour continues, with visits to some of Wadi Rum's most iconic sites: the Red Sand Dune, Lawrence's House, Abu Khashaba Canyon, Umm Fruth Rock Bridge, and Mushroom Rock. As the sun begins to set, you’ll be brought to a spectacular viewpoint to watch the desert transform under the golden, orange, and crimson hues of sunset.
- As evening falls, you'll arrive at your camp for the night. The team will show you to your tent, and soon you'll gather around the fire for a magical evening under the stars. A traditional Zarb dinner, slow-cooked underground in true Bedouin style, will be served rich in flavour and rooted in tradition.
- Alternatively, choose the unforgettable experience of wild camping under the stars. Your guide will take you to a secluded spot in the open desert, where he’ll set up camp and start preparing a traditional dinner over the fire. We provide everything you need for a comfortable night in the wild, mattresses, sleeping bags, blankets, and the warmth of a glowing fire.
After breakfast, you can either be dropped off at Wadi Rum Village, or choose to add an extra night and activity by planning the rest of your trip with us.
